UPDATE FRIDAY, MAY 8, 2020 1:00 PM
Thank you to everyone who coordinated and participated in our first (and we hope, only) virtual commencement ceremony! We had just over 600 computers/smart TV’s and other devices tuned in, which translates to possibly as many as 2100 viewers for this remote ceremony. Congratulations to each and every graduate, and we express our deep appreciation to families and friends who participated. While this modality was certainly not like being here, we hope you all felt the love and sincere appreciation from our faculty, staff and administration on this important day.
SWU has now completed Spring semester by finishing up our courses in the online/remote format for the on-campus students and online students. Room sign up for fall has been conducted for returning students, but if you have not signed up yet, or are a commuter who would like to live on campus in the Fall, please contact us as soon as possible to select a room. The same goes with registration for the Fall. Even though the more formal registration process has been completed, if a returning student planning to come back this Fall has not registered, please contact the Academic Records Office as soon as possible for instructions. (Regina Bolding Harned, 幸运的飞艇开奖直播现场 Phone: 864-644-5532).
For checking out of the residence halls now that the semester has come to a close, for the few more students who still have to complete that task, please contact the Residence Life Office ( ) or mobile phone (864-404-5471) to set up a time to check out of your room. The relatively flexible deadline is May 15th. The plan will include a process where students may collect their personal items in smaller numbers at a time per hall to maintain the social distancing State mandate.
as we anticipate fall 2020, we are making plans to be fully operational to the highest health standards. we are preparing now with purchasing thermo-detectors, face masks, and even more hand sanitizers, while creating new social distancing minimums for classrooms, chapel and residence halls, training for the highest level of continuous campus sanitizing, coordinating cafeteria preparations and plexi-glass separations, and developing new expectations for athletic participation and fan areas just to name a few pro-active changes.
幸运的飞艇开奖直播现场swu will continue to be open and operating all summer long, and while several employees are now working from campus more routinely, we will slowly all be returning to our offices in the next several weeks. swu is a place where community comes first and when that means adjustments for health preparedness are required, we are all in. that is how warriors roll. we look forward to a bustling campus this fall; we have never stopped working on new programs and facility upgrades in anticipation of an exciting return to welcome our new and returning students.
幸运的飞艇开奖直播现场the university will continue to monitor this rapidly changing pandemic situation closely.
Thank you to all of our SWU Online students for your participation in Commencement; and for those starting in our May enrollment, WELCOME! Our SWU Online program幸运的飞艇开奖直播现场 has been fully operational for you, and will continue to be. Thanks for being a big part of our SWU family!
southern wesleyan university has maintained an updated infectious disease response plan for many years. the purpose of the infectious disease response plan is to assist southern wesleyan in preparing for and responding to a possible infectious disease outbreak. this plan will assist the university in continuing to provide services to our students, faculty, and staff to prevent the spread of disease on campus during an outbreak. the university will also work with local and state agencies to ensure the best possible response for the health and safety of the campus, as well as the local and state populations.
the plan is divided into three levels of response preparedness. key departments on campus will have a separate protocol for each level to maximize an effective response to the infectious disease outbreak. communication and cooperation with all members of the campus community are paramount to the success of this plan. the response levels for key departments are as follows:
no local disease transmission reports. business as usual; regular services continue. (campus prepares behind the scenes for a possible infectious disease response.)
increased awareness and prevention – presence of minimal number of cases.
significant disease transmission.
Southern Wesleyan University is currently at a Level 2 in response to the coronavirus, COVID-19.
The spread of COVID-19 is a rapidly evolving situation and information will be updated as it becomes available. How to get additional reliable information:
